Carers Manchester is a network of voluntary and statutory partners, working together to provide support and improve services for Manchester’s unpaid carers.
As a network, we condemn the series of incidents which have taken place across the country over the past fortnight. These were attempts by an extremist minority to divide our society and were primarily targeted at minoritised communities. We would like to express our deepest solidarity with everyone affected.
Within our network, we have been taking precautions to keep our staff and volunteers safe and going forward will continue to remain vigilant.
Below, we have outlined key contacts and support to help unpaid carers and other community members stay safe.
In this distressing time, online misinformation is exacerbating tensions, and so we are relying on verified sources, and adhering to the latest advice from Greater Manchester Police.
