We’re excited to announce our new partnership with Carers Card UK. Applications for our FREE carers’ ID card and discount scheme are now open to all Manchester carers aged 18 and over.
What are the benefits?

The card can help you identify yourself as a carer, when dealing with businesses and organisations.

The card gives you access to a range of discounts, available via the Carers Card UK app and website.

Carers Card UK have a thriving online forum where you can talk to other carers.
- The Carers Card UK app and website are packed with factsheets and interactive resources to help you get support as a carer.
Who is eligible?
The Carers Card UK card usually costs a small fee. Carers Manchester is providing the digital card for free to carers who apply using our form and meet the following requirements:

You self-identify as an unpaid carer

You – or the person you care for – have a Manchester City Council area postcode
- You’re over 18
How do I apply?
If you had one of our old Carers Manchester ID cards, we have already contacted you to help you transition to our new system.
If you have never had a Carers Manchester or Carers Card UK card before, please use our application form which takes under 2 minutes.
Please allow 14 working days after your application for us to get back to you.
Please note, our application form is the only way to receive a FREE card. If you apply through the Carers Card UK website, there will be a fee.
