Here at Carers Manchester we are sad to share the announcement that Manchester Carers Centre will be closing at the end of this month, after nearly three decades of changing carers’ lives for the better. At Carers Manchester, we are managed by Gaddum. Gaddum have issued the following statement on behalf of both our organisations:

“We are saddened to learn that Manchester Carers Centre will be closing on 30th September 2025.

For almost three decades, the Centre has been part of the city’s landscape of support for unpaid carers, and we want to acknowledge the contribution it has made during that time.

Most importantly, we want to reassure carers: we know this news may feel worrying or unsettling. Thousands of people in Manchester provide unwaged care for loved ones, often in very challenging circumstances, so it is vital that carers continue to feel supported, informed, and connected.

Gaddum want to assure anyone affected by this news that we are working closely with partners to ensure no one falls through the gaps left behind by this closure.

If you are a carer affected by this news and are unsure where to turn, you can contact the Carers Manchester Contact Point directly for information, guidance, and support.”
