UoM Parents, Carers and Guardians Network – Carers Week event

The Parents, Carers and Guardians Network at The University of Manchester is hosting a carers week event on Tuesday 9th June, 11am-3pm.

This collaborative event brings together leaders, practitioners, researchers, and members of our university communities to explore how we can build more inclusive, carer-friendly environments across higher education.

Through a dynamic programme of short talks, lived experience reflections, and a leadership panel discussion, we will examine the realities faced by staff and students with caring responsibilities, share emerging best practice, and identify practical steps for change.

The event will also create space for open, themed discussions ensuring that diverse caring experiences, including parenting, caring for elderly dependants, and disability-related care, are recognised and heard.
