DESCRIPTION:After the success of last year’s event\, Carers Manchester have again organised an event for carers at Friends Meeting House in Manchester City Centre. The day will aim to raise awareness and knowledge of your rights as a carer\, and will feature carers speaking about their stories & experience. If you want to join others who care\, in a safe and supportive place\, to learn more about your rights\, please join us. \nThe day will feature discussion panels and/ or presentations on: \n\nCarers rights\nLegal advice for carers\, and\nSupport for Carers in Paid Employment\n\nAs well as stalls from local services and light refreshments. \nIn order to help people balance joining the event\, and their caring role\, we are hosting events on Thursday and Saturday. The Saturday event is being run specifically for those carers who are also in paid employment\, and would not be able to attend on Thursday. However\, if you are unable to attend on the Thursday for another reason\, please feel free to sign up for the Saturday event.

DESCRIPTION:Join Together Dementia Support for their monthly Dementia Café on the last Tuesday of every month at Friends Meeting House\, 82 Wythenshawe Road\, Manchester M23 0DJ from 1.30pm – 3.30pm. \nIt’s an opportunity for carers of people living with Dementia to socialise and share experiences over a cup of tea or coffee. Once a month\, an Admiral Nurse will join the group to listen\, talk and offer advice.
