DESCRIPTION:Do you have a mobile smart phone but not sure how to make the most of all its functions\, applications and access to services? \nWould you like to find out more about digital wallets\, taking/sending pictures\, QR-codes\, WhatsApp\, and other useful applications? \nIf you do\, then Carers Manchester South together with the Manchester Digital Inclusion Team are offering a workshop session to help you make the most of your mobile smart phones. \nA maximum of 12 places are available on a first come first served basis. DESCRIPTION:Join Together Dementia Support for their monthly Dementia Café on the third Wednesday of every month at Oaklands\, 8 Wilbraham Road\, Fallowfield M14 6JZ from 1.30pm – 3.30pm. \nIt’s an opportunity for carers of people living with Dementia to socialise and share experiences over a cup of tea or coffee. Admiral Nurses will be available for advice. \nTheir volunteers will also run activities for the people living with Dementia so you can join the carers’ chat while they make new friends. SUMMARY:Dementia Friendly Concert with The Hallé Orchestra
DESCRIPTION:This concert is perfect for people living with dementia\, their carers\, adults with learning difficulties\, stroke survivors or anybody from a vulnerable community who wishes to experience classical music in a relaxed and informal environment.\n\nThere is also the unique opportunity to interact with the Hallé archive before the concert (included in the £3 ticket price).\n\nThe Hallé Archivists will be at the performance to share exciting items from their 165-year history that might spark a memory you have of seeing the Hallé perform in the past. Part of the Ancoats: The Hallé Story\, a National Lottery Heritage Funded project.

SUMMARY:Drumming Circle for Carers
DESCRIPTION:Do you enjoy listening to\, playing music? Would you like to be part of a group creating rhythmic\, dynamic and fun music? And would you like to learn about the benefits of music on your wellbeing? \nCarers Manchester South are offering carers the chance to take part in a Drumming Circle with Zsuzsa Foldes\, a Music Therapist\, followed by some yummy tea and cake and a natter with other carers. This is what some carers thought about previous sessions: \n“It made me forget myself for a brief spell and just be in the moment with the beat.” \n“It was a lovely event. Something different and refreshing. Friendly faces. Lots of smiles. Epic sound of music.” \n“Thank you so much for putting on the drumming session. It was so powerful having other carers there.
