DESCRIPTION:Text from organiser: \nDid you know that we have a fortnightly book club? \nThe Lifted WOW team\, were having a chat at the start of the year about all the new books that they had been given. It then turned into a full on conversation between the WOW team and the Lifted team. We then realised we all love books! We could also spend hours talking about books. Myself\, Emma Moo and Sue then said why not set up a book group? \n  \nSo that is what we did. In January 2024 we set up the Lifted women’s book club. \nWe meet every other Monday at the Dandelion Hub between 4pm and 6pm. \nWe are not your typical book club\, as Emma Moo would say we are “ just an anti-typical book club” We don’t have a set book that we read each week\, we just talk about what book we are currently enjoying and share if we would recommend it out to the group. \nWe also count Paper book\, eBook\, Audio Book and podcast towards our book count for the year! \nIf you fancy being part of our women focused book group\, message kate@liftedmcr.org.uk or ring 07538589345

DESCRIPTION:Text from organiser: \nEvery Monday as part of the Lifted’s Women of Wythenshawe Project\, our WOW Leaders are making a hot meal for those who want to come join us at the Lifted’s drop in session. \nWe know people are struggling between eating and paying bills\, the WOW leaders want to help ease this worry by opening the Lifted’s door to those who want a warm place to be and have something to eat and chat with the #LiftedFamily for a few hours. \nFood will be available from 1pm for those who wish to join us. We are catering to 25 people each week\, but have room to expand with demand. \nMeals that we are offering will range from soup and a roll\, stew to rice puddings. \nWe would also like to know what you would like the WOW leaders to make each week. You can expect: \n\nThis event is exclusive to families and groups that are accompanying children and young people with additional needs and/or disabilities.\nPeace of Mind – All MPCF staff and volunteers have lived experience of SEND so you can rest assured that there will be a level of empathy and understanding with any needs or quirks that may arise on the day. Please speak to a member of the team if you have a request to make for a better experience.\nA Quieter Experience – The cinema will reduce the volume if needed and we can request for some lights to be kept on\, ensuring that your visit will not be too overwhelming.\nAlternative Access – Wheelchair and buggy users can enter the cinema via the level access door for those that wish to make use of it.\nIn Your Own Time – No need to rush and bustle. We are catering to 25 people each week\, but have room to expand with demand. \nMeals that we are offering will range from soup and a roll\, stew to rice puddings. \nWe would also like to know what you would like the WOW leaders to make each week.
