DESCRIPTION:Join the Alzheimer’s Society for ‘Singing for the Brain’\, an event to bring people affected by dementia together to sing a variety of songs they know and love\, in a fun and friendly environment. \nThey also do vocal exercises that help improve brain activity and wellbeing. SUMMARY:Booking Session for Summer Trips
DESCRIPTION:This summer\, Manchester Parent Carer Forum have co-produced a number of summer trips and family fun days with 4CT Limited\, Manchester City Council and the SPACE Group. \nThese will be made available to families of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) living in Manchester. \nTo help facilitate booking for these summer activities\, 4CT have kindly set up  in-person booking days and an online booking form that will open from 25 July. \nOn Saturday 23 July you can drop in at Grange Community Resource to book tickets any time between 1pm and 3pm.

DESCRIPTION:Together Dementia Support is working in Manchester and Trafford to run a weekly social group\, Pyaari Yaadein\, for South Asian people living with dementia. The group is lively and fun and staff can speak community languages. \nThey also provide Carers’ Training courses (online and face to face)\, day trips\, home visits\, transport\, carers’ support and individual support and advice. \nGet in touch with Rukaiya and Ali\, who can support you and the person you care for. DESCRIPTION:Join Together Dementia Support for their monthly Dementia Café on the third Wednesday of every month at Minehead Court Community Café\, Old Moat M20 1NG from 1.30pm – 3.30pm. \nIt’s an opportunity for carers of people living with Dementia to socialise and share experiences over a cup of tea or coffee. Admiral Nurses will be available for advice. \nTheir volunteers will also run activities for the people living with Dementia so you can join the carers’ chat while they make new friends. DESCRIPTION:This workshop explores why we worry\, is it helpful and what are the consequences of worrying. We then discuss and look at alternative strategies including the ‘problem-solving’ method. \nThe course is open to unwaged carers who live in\, or support someone in the borough of Manchester. \nWe know that sometimes its not possible to leave the person you care for\, so we have put in place support for attendees to claim for the cost of rest bite care\, as well as travel expenses. \nOnce you have signed up for the course\, we can arrange to speak with you via text\, email or over the phone.
