DESCRIPTION:Join the Alzheimer’s Society for ‘Singing for the Brain’\, an event to bring people affected by dementia together to sing a variety of songs they know and love\, in a fun and friendly environment. \nThey also do vocal exercises that help improve brain activity and wellbeing. SUMMARY:Stroke Survivors Carers Support Group
DESCRIPTION:Join the Stroke Association for their online group for carers of Stroke survivors on the 2nd Tuesday every month at 10am. Future dates are Tuesday 14 June. \nThese meetings are a chance for carers to meet up\, offer support and share experiences. For more information please contact Helen Gilbertson\, Stroke Association Support Coordinator on 0161 742 7482 / 07983 343 003 or email Helen.Gilbertson@stroke.org.uk. \nThey also have an active WhatsApp group\, a friendly group of Stroke Survivors\, carers and volunteers sharing stories\, supporting each other and having a good old chat. If you are interested send Helen a WhatsApp message on 07983 343 003 to be added to the group. \nIf you prefer to meet face to face\, they have monthly meet ups on a Monday at Friends Meeting House\, M23 0DJ on  9 May and 13 June from 10am – 12.30pm; and at Windrush Millennium Centre M16 7WD from 2pm – 4pm. \nThere are also Monday groups at Trinity Baptist Church M18 8BE on 30 May and 27 June from 10am – 1pm\, and they meet on a Wednesday at Manchester Youth Zone\, M9 8AE from 10am – 12pm on 13 April\, 11 May and 8 June.
